About me
I've been traveling for a long time, On the way I've had a baby in a strange country with no family around. I swore allegiance to another flag and got another passport, I signed up for the US navy, I joined the police, volunteered in the US, Ireland & Poland. I've buried a best friend and a boyfriend. I've had more disastrous relationships than Liz Taylor; I've survived car wrecks, 3 crash landings on planes, a war in the Middle East, riots in India, and was lost on a boat in Iranian waters and rescued by the coast guard after being found by the US military on their radar. I bought my own boat and I bought and sold my own pub, won a best actress award, wrote and toured with a play, appeared on stage in Ireland and the USA, but most important I've raised an amazing son. Along the way I've been to 140 countries, currently battling cancer but the goal is to see everywhere.

Brno – 10 reasons I love it.
Brno is a heavenly break from all of this while still delivering on charm, excellence, authenticity, price, beauty, theater, arts, markets, restaurants, history and its a student city with about 90,000 city so it feels alive. For those who want night life you will find it here, and for those who would like a quiet break you will also find that, everything is here and in summer you can be at one with nature and in winter there are the winter sport options and the evenings sitting in cafe’s sipping great coffee or the best hot chocolate in the world in my opinion.
Venice to Rijeka public transport
More importantly as a woman travelling alone I feel perfectly safe and no one hassles me at all. I find the captain of my boat and the man who will hold his life in my hands for the next month. I made it. I’ve arrived safely to Croatia.
ARRANMORE – the Aran island tourists haven’t heard of
Did she marry the Island boy? aye she did surely, sure Colum Boyle was the only boy for her and didn’t he only have eyes for her. When you’re a raven haired beauty daughter of a Killybegs fisherman, its …
Donegal Reasons we love Killybegs – Ireland’s Gem
Born and raised in Ireland. I like many of my 18 year old counterparts left in the late 80’s because of the recession and lack of choices. For me it was a countdown until the last day of …
